Baby Mobile
thingiverse
I designed a mobile that attaches to the side of my son's cot. The reference cot is an IKEA unit, featuring 20mm x 35mm top rail dimensions. Depending on bolt length, it can fit taller rails, with OnShape files available for modification. I rounded all edges on the bottom bracket for safety. The "Gantry Base/Top Clamp" part combines the gantry's bottom section and top clamp, creating a contained bearing/rotational point. Printed with a BigBox Pro using minimal supports, this allows smooth rotation away from the cot (I applied considerable force to free it after printing). Hardware needed: 2 x M4 Cap-head bolts (30mm long ones used) 2 x Flat nuts Glue is required for gantry sections; center hanging pieces use dovetail joints and require 5 Baby Mobile - Arm 1 pieces. OnShape files: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/eb4c23f1efeecfa3e56b22d7/w/21289a410a44bcda0ef8227c/e/e35dbc96f0c1f60dcd96a719 Print settings: Printer: BigBox Pro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Infill: 20% Notes: Simplify 3D used with standard settings for my printer; printed in PLA. Supports only required under the top clamp and around bearing area overhang.
