What you're seeing are actual photos of baby manta rays, remarkable creatures that can venture onto land as young ones to explore their surroundings before fully developing lungs adapted for underwater life. As they mature and grow into majestic adults, they return to the open ocean, simultaneously losing their legs in the process, transforming them into the iconic manta rays we know and admire.
