Baby Iron Giant
thingiverse
I crafted this design at my friend's request, who had a friend interested in creating a keyring featuring the Iron Giant. Initially, I was skeptical about printing such delicate details as the giant's long legs and arms, but I wanted to tackle the challenge. An image of an infant Iron Giant caught my eye, and I thought it would be perfect for a keychain. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the original model is oversized, which actually made scaling it down easier. If you prefer a larger version, feel free to adjust the scale as needed. In fact, I scaled the design in the photo to 0.45, resulting in an 80mm height. To minimize support material, I printed the model in two halves and then glued them together. For your convenience, I've also included STL files for the complete model, as well as versions with and without the keyring on top of the giant's head.
