I'm thrilled with how the design and print turned out, especially since my baby girl is arriving soon! I created this hammock bed design myself, and the printed parts are specifically designed to catch and attach the wooden ones. This way, it's easy to modify the size to fit your needs. The inside of the printed parts measures 22mm, while the wood pieces were made at 21.6mm for a perfect fit that also makes it simple to disassemble when you need to take it on the go. For added strength and ease of transport, I placed strong rob between the wooden components. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.15 Infill: 60 Notes: To be honest, I'm not entirely sure about these settings since I was new to 3D printing at the time, but I think this is what I used. Adding more infill should make it even stronger. Post-Printing: To assemble this hammock bed, simply purchase or cut the wooden parts to your liking, or use whatever materials you have available. Next, print four copies of each STL file (base and top). If needed, adjust the STLs to fit snugly within the wooden components. Drill holes in the wood pieces for added strength and to accommodate a rob or other reinforcement. Once complete, test it out and enjoy! How I Designed This: My wife saw a similar design online that was quite expensive, so I decided to create my own to ensure its quality and safety for our kids. I looked up measurements and shapes online to get an idea of what would work best, and before long, the design was complete!
