Baby Groot in Carbonite
thingiverse
I am Groot. "I know." I adjusted the box's dimensions to fit Groot perfectly, making sure it would print smoothly and look amazing. I also tweaked a few things in the mesh to enhance its appearance. To get the best results, I printed Groot at 45 degrees and fine-tuned my support angle to match. I added a few supports for the control panels on the main box to prevent the underside from sagging. **Update - 1/16/2019** It seems there was an issue with the panels on the left side of the box, which weren't fully integrated into the rest of the model. This might cause them to slump off on some printers. I adjusted them and ensured everything is now a single shell. For those who want to print and assemble separately, I've included individual files for the box and panels. I smoothed out Groot's neck by removing a hash angle, giving him a more cohesive look. I also tweaked the support arm post so it should fit better into the base hole. And why not? I added a slightly angled arm too! **Update - 12/6/2018** Someone pointed out that the control boxes were upside down. I flipped them over and re-uploaded the file to fix this mistake.
