Baby Groot Head Chain Pull / Keychain

Baby Groot Head Chain Pull / Keychain

thingiverse

I'm a simple guy who's been using a washer attached to a string as a chain pull on my living room light fixture for years. My girlfriend, however, is more of a style over substance kind of person. As a fan of anything Baby Groot, she asked me if I could make her a Groot head to replace that perfectly functional washer. What's a guy supposed to do? You see, she has her own Groot head :). This design was modified to accept a screw eye where you can attach the pull string - and now that I think about it, maybe even a key chain ring. The eye hook I used is #214 x 13/16" by Hillman, item #490966. This will screw into the hole easily, but I recommend screwing the hook in and out a little bit as you go until it's fully in to help cut the threads without risking breaking the plastic. Rubbing the threads of the hook on a bar of soap first also helps lubricate it. Just a little free tip there for you :). I painted this with Plaid FolkArt Multi-Surface Acrylic paints. **Note** Due to either a Thingiverse bug or (more likely) shadowbanning, my models no longer show up under the [Newest] listings. If you want to see more of my models, please be sure to 'follow' me. If you print this, it would really help if you'd post a 'make' so that others could find this model.
