Baby Food Pouch Hanger Assembly
thingiverse
My wife has been using these common fruit and veggie pouches to feed our toddler, which we buy at any grocery store. However, they don't hold up well for storage, so I decided to create a hook assembly to hang the bags in the cabinet, keeping them off the kitchen table and making use of available space. The design relies on slide fits/locks to minimize support material, with only one small piece needing some extra help. The front teeth that the "lock" piece slides onto require a little support, but nowhere else is needed. This design is also chainable, allowing you to print multiple assemblies and connect them together to create a longer row of hooks! This flexibility means you can even use it on a smaller bed, as long as it's 150mmx150mm or larger! New parents out there will likely find this useful. To attach the assembly to your cabinets, I recommend using silicone adhesive, which is strong but also removable. I've tried command strips before, and while they work fine, they don't have the long-term strength needed to hold the weight of the pouches. You can get the same silicone adhesive I used at Lowe's: https://www.lowes.com/pd/LOCTITE-2-7-oz-Specialty-Adhesive/3454788 After printing your hanger, follow these steps: 1. Attach the assembly to the top of your cabinets using 3M command release strips. This way, it can be easily removed later. 2. If you want to extend this hanger, print the full set shown above and then a second set minus the lock. Lock the second assembly into the back of the first one, and keep adding as many as you need! I designed this using Siemens NX software.
