I borrowed the eyeball concept from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2703059. I was captivated by the idea of using marbles or ball bearings as eyes for creatures. If printed correctly, the "eyes" should simply click into place. You can test different eye sizes by printing an eye socket and scaling the model if needed. Previous experiments show that scaling up 164% for 0.625-inch diameter marbles works well - but I have not tried it with this file. Always measure the marbles before printing, as they can vary greatly in size, which is why I prefer using ball bearings. Baby_Dragon_375_eyes.stl is designed for eyes that are 3/8 inch (0.375 inches) in diameter. Baby_Dragon_flat_eyes.stl was an adaptation that I repurposed to attach "Googly Eyes" with glue. My printer of choice is the XYZ Da Vinci Mini. I used AutoDesk Inventor with MeshEnabler Addon and AutoDesk Meshmixer for 3D modeling. The 3D slicer I employed is XYZware. Here are my printing settings: No rafts, no supports (they're built into the file), 10% infill, normal shell, 0.20mm layer thickness, medium speed. For Baby_Dragon_375_eyes.stl, I used 3.6 meters of 1.75mm PLA filament and it took approximately 1.75 hours to complete the print.
