Babar the Elephant
thingiverse
Babar is a fictional character who first burst onto the scene in 1931 in the French children's book Histoire de Babar written by Jean de Brunhoff. After a hunter brutally kills Babar's mother, he escapes the jungle and embarks on a series of thrilling adventures in the big city. When Babar returns to the jungle, his travels and contact with civilization have transformed him, earning him the title of king of the elephant kingdom. Two key parts of the model feature built-in supports, rendering additional supports unnecessary. These two parts are also provided without supports for makers who prefer to use supports via their slicer software. If you possess the correct filament colors, painting is completely unnecessary. The assembled model stands at an impressive 230mm tall. Please note that if you conduct a full download of this model from Thingiverse, the STL files are accurate but Thingiverse has compromised the images and included extraneous images from another project. To obtain the necessary images for this project, use the ones from the main page and download those individually. (Click on one thumbnail, even if it is just the two gear placeholder, then click the upper right X, then click on view original.) Enjoy! Note: The built-in supports can be removed very cleanly, however I recommend removing them with pliers instead of a knife.
