The name Babalamp is rooted in a traditional Neapolitan dessert: the Babà. You're probably aware of it already! The lamp's shape bears an uncanny resemblance to that of a Babà. This project was specifically designed for a particular LED light bulb, measuring 120mm in diameter and featuring an E27 plug (standard Edison). However, it can be adapted to smaller sizes, I imagine. Please note that the lampshade is equipped with vents for heat dissipation, but they're intended solely to dissipate the heat generated by the power supply unit of the lamp. Under no circumstances should they be expected to handle excessive heat from an incandescent bulb! It's essential to use LED bulbs only, and the environment will surely appreciate it.
