Each cockpit control has its own custom textures, while Photoshop templates for every detail are readily available for download. History The manufacturer proudly announced the development of a stretched version of the 767-200 in February 1982. The resulting B767-300 boasts an impressive 6.42 meters (21 feet 1 inch) stretch, consisting of fuselage plugs both forward and backward of the wing's center section. The flight deck and systems were carried over directly from the 767-200, with only minor changes made to accommodate the increased weight of this new version. Initially, the maximum takeoff weight was identical to that of the later 767-200ER. The B767-300 took to the skies for its maiden flight on January 30, 1986, and quickly earned certification before entering service in September of the same year. The higher-weight Extended Range ER version made its debut on December 19, 1986, while Rolls-Royce RB-211-524G engines became available from 1989. The impressive range of the B767-300ER has proven to be a major draw for several airlines, which are now using these aircraft for long-range flights with low passenger density.
