B2D Extruder - Strong and Silent Bowden Extruder

B2D stands for "Belted Dual Drive," a bowden style extruder that offers extra grip on filament and operates virtually silently during retraction. FEATURES: Dual drive gears provide improved grip, preventing grinding of filament, and making frequent retraction more reliable. The belt-driven motion produces minimal noise itself during retraction. The only audible sound comes from the stepper motor vibrating the printer's frame. A 3:1 gear ratio increases torque. An adjustable compression spring offers flexibility. Modular parts allow for different combinations of drive gears, filaments, and bowden tubes. The bowden connector slides smoothly within a 3.5mm range, accommodating any diameter of drive gear between 7-12mm. Quick-changeable drive gears enable the use of large gears with slower motor speeds for silent operation or small gears with more torque for super-fast extrusion rates.
