B2 mk1 250 Quadcopter
thingiverse
Work in progress of a new quadcopter design. Purpose is to keep pieces low count and make printable model we can use as prototype for graphic plates. Nothing super innovative here, just basic H copter start of our own design! Once proof of concept done, will release DXF of the plates so folks can cut/order graphite pieces. Will post more pictures once printing complete and quad built/flown. ---- Update 4/26/2016, Nothing survives its first build...I did the spacing wrong on the base spacer on a few of the screws and arms were missing the 3mm slot / 19mm width for some of the larger motors. Added those in as v2 parts. Printed out the sub base, base and top last night, test fit them with some nylon spacers, arms are on the printer right now. Will post an updated picture when I assemble it that far! ---- Update 4/27/2016, First print done and assembled! Very happy with the fit, no adjustments needed there, layer thickness and tolerances are great! One small change coming on the Go Pro mount and I placed my order for new electronics today (Flight controller and secs are going to take a bit, trying out the Kiss FC and Kiss 30a secs from Flyduino and have to wait for them to get shipped) Once that is in I will figure out the best place for the XT60 and antenna mounts and will modify the design for them. Exciting to see it in something other than the render in Fusion 360! It's very sturdy! (there are only a few chamfer or fillets) I also tested square vs hex and triangle infills and the triangle one seems to be the strongest so I went with it!
