B1XZ mod for BIQU B1. Convert your B1 into CoreXZ to get excelent Z axis. It is even faster than Y :) I was inspired by CoreXZ machines (Voron Switchwire) No more lead screws/ball screws or dual z ... use the only CoreXZ kinematic :) This mod was done for BIQU B1 printer to convert it into CoreXZ and reuse lots of components from the original setup Publishing a revision2 of STL file set Assembly instructions and full BOM is coming soon Use these parts if you know what are you doing or just wait for the final release and instructions. This setup is driven by the original Marlin configured to CoreXZ (a Klipper setup in progress). Config files for marlin will be published soon See the first-ever demo video of B1XZ here https://youtu.be/jDKTgtf7Mfg The album of very first build is here (just to give clue how to assembly carriages, the instructions are coming) https://photos.app.goo.gl/iFewBnAZEken7oM17 https://photos.app.goo.gl/2H4JU8Cj7Zjptucw7 On photos and video is the revision 1 it has small differences with published here revision 2 The first impression and build log is here https://www.reddit.com/r/BIGTREETECH/comments/lrmqu8/new_mod_b1xz_got_almost_ideal_z_alignment_now/ Uploaded STL files need to be oriented properly The item B1XZ_x_carriage_tension_tool_removable.stl is only to help to do initial belt tension, To be removed after belts tightened well. Put at this place the B1XZ_x_carriage_bottom_cover.stl Keep in mind that any CoreXY/XZ/.. setup is very dependent on how good belts are installed Draft BOM: - GT2 belt 5m - 20x bearings F695-2RS - GT2 Pulley 20 Teeth 5mm bore 6mm - 2 extension cables for motors - set of nuts and bolts for m3/m4/m5 - the length and count for each to be defined soon PS Using BLTouch as Z endstop. But not an issue add into design place for the native end-stop switch - only new cable is needed or extension
