B1 Battle Droid - 1/4 scale
myminifactory
This is a 1:4 scale B1 battle droid straight out of the Star Wars prequels. The parts are crafted to allow for posing with glued joints, giving you endless possibilities for unique arrangements. My chosen pose was inspired by a still from the epic battle of Geonosis, combining the legs of one droid with the arms of another. The result is somewhat unexpected, with the figure striking a pose reminiscent of Shakespearean drama or perhaps even a romantic proposal. A trusty blaster would definitely help to enhance its rugged appearance, but unfortunately, the assembled figure feels rather fragile. It's no wonder that B1 battle droids tend to fall apart when faced with an angry Jedi warrior. Update Oct-2014. Added backpack geometry and new gallery images of a free-standing companion droid equipped with a backpack. I've also fixed the joint between the neck and torso for improved stability. Legal Note: This creation is an original work inspired by designs from the Star Wars movies, but I claim no rights to the original design, which undoubtedly belongs to LucasFilm and Disney.
