B Variant- Mega Front Half
thingiverse
Edit 12-11-22: With the new, M3 printed ram performance is much better, should be on part with a regular Mega Caliburn. You do not need to use an O-ring on the ram, but it will take an -016 oring for better performance. I have also included a spring spacer for K25 that increases the compression for additional power as well. Will leave the file set like this for a time before removing WIP label. Note: As of 11-20-22, I got a few shots across the chrono and only got around 80 FPS- I'm sure this is due primarily to printed ram sizing and no Oring, but I've got an oring coming in the mail, and will size up the printed ram as well. I will LIKELY just add diameter to the ram above the entry to the rambase for now, as soon as my testing is complete I'll update the files. Edit 11-14-22: I believe I've got all the mandatory changes made- I still only have printed magazines to test with, so mag fitment may still be a little loose. After printing out the remaining changes, I will confirm fitment of bolt cover. Edit 11-13-22: I've printed out the pieces and there is a short list of adjustments I need to make to the file set right away, so at this moment I would not print this quite yet. Hoping to have updated files up within a week. Edit 11-10-22: Discovered the mag release interferes with the other pieces, so don't use the existing mag release. Also the MagwellRear print opening for the ram is pretty tight, so I'll have to edit that to be a little wider, and taper the entry a little. I will be updating both parts within a few days, so be on the lookout. Edit 11-9-22: Oh what the heck, added a WIP bolt cover since it's not a hard thing to edit. Still waiting for confirmation on fitment Front half for the B Variant to accommodate Nerf Mega. You will need the rear half files available in the original B Variant listing. Assembly will be the same as the UBV. Still no instructions at this time. Original BV https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5092756 I have this marked as Work in Progress as I've only converted the files over to Mega digitally, have not had the chance to test print or assembly at this time, or for the near future. Once either I or someone else can confirm magazine fitment, I'll add a bolt cover for over the magwell. As some vendors are not providing metal rams in their kits, I've included a printed ram and matching ram base. I will update with a ram base for metal rams as well as time allows. Probably missed something, feel free to shoot over a message or leave a comment below with questions.
