Update 3/15/2025: - enhanced Bondtech arm - reinforced spring cap - optimized lock lever tuning - revised regen stls After utilizing the Hobb-goblin version for a considerable period, I sought to achieve even more grip and torque for multi-material printing with single-nozzle/multi-extruder configurations. The filament changes can be particularly demanding on the extruder. Bondtech gears appear to be the optimal selection for grip; therefore, I modified the B-struder Hobb-goblin edition: - upgraded arm with Bondtech gear design - reoriented the filament path slightly, aligning it more closely with the rotation angle of the arm, which reduces skew. Although not a significant issue initially, this adjustment is still beneficial. - motor mount plates are now 5mm thick - various motor mounts featuring distinct frame mounting options - integrated small channels within the motor mounts, generating additional perimeters to be printed, resulting in stronger components - eliminated the need for 623zz bearings at the hinge. The arm features holes that accommodate the motor mount and MR105zz support bracket; minimal wear is anticipated. Applying lubricant is optional. - redesigned MR105zz support part with enhanced arm support. A previous version failed under stress, but this updated model should be significantly more robust. - includes revised Hobb-goblin arms - incorporates additional design improvements OpenSCAD source: https://github.com/spegelius/3DModels/tree/master/B-struder_remix_mods Belted extruder part in use with this upgrade: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3091980_modified Multi-material feeder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3807101_revised
