The assumption is that you already have a Raspberry Pi Model B+, the Pi Camera module of your choice, an extension cable, and capture software for taking images. This project is a modular harness that will attach and support the Pi and the camera module to the front or side of an Ultimaker 2. The camera can be moved into any position and rotated so it can look down on your print, hang underneath looking directly at your print, view it from the front face, or from a corner. It is essential to note that the focal length of the PI Cam module is approximately 45cm. As a result, you will likely need to hotglue a +2.0 reading glass lens over the front of the module to get this back in the region of 20-25cm... where the camera actually sits from the center of the build plate. To assemble the pi frame, you will require a Pi Frame Front, a Pi Frame Back, a hook of your choice (depending on where you prefer to situate your Pi), and a regular bolt. Assembly should be fairly self-explanatory. For the camera mount, you will need the pi cam mount, the mount block, a hook of your choosing, and a long bolt. You then need at least two arm pieces to provide flexibility and a regular bolt for each. The mount block has the thread so you must bolt through the hole in the arm into the block. This should be done again for the second arm. Press the Pi Camera Module firmly into the camera head; there are locator pins and recesses for the components on the camera board, so it will sit flush. The camera head should then bolt through to the top of the last arm piece. Additionally, I built a lens holder for photographs instead of using hotglue, but I did not include it in the files because you may not have the same lens. You can remove 2mm from the camera head (taking you to the midpoint of the curves) and then construct a 3mm plate to hold your lens. This should provide enough clearance for the curved lens from a pair of reading glasses.
