B&D Mower Rear Drive Wheel Gear
thingiverse
This is a replacement gear for a Black and Decker Model SPCM1936, that is inside of the two rear wheels. This gear is no longer available from B&D, or any online parts distributor. Why throw away a lawn mower when the drive gears finally get shredded. The original gear was nylon, and stood up for 6 or 7 years. I heard the gears start grinding and eventually the self-propel function stopped working. The drive pinion is steel, and eventually wears down the gear that screws into the wheel with three screws. I drew it up in Fusion 360, and printed in PLA. The gear shredded in a day, see the PLA gear in the last photo that is torn up, the honeycomb fill layers are showing. So, I made the fill more solid and sent out the design to have one made of a harder SLA plastic, which has lasted two seasons now and is not wearing down. You will need two of these, one for each rear drive wheel. Re-use the old screws and this is a direct replacement.
