The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a heavy bomber aircraft featuring four engines. Initially developed for the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC), it outperformed rivals Douglas and Martin in securing a contract for 200 bombers, despite ultimately losing due to a prototype crash. Impressed by Boeing's design, the Air Corps ordered 13 B-17s, leading to full-scale production. As the first mass-produced large aircraft, it evolved with numerous advancements. Key features include working turrets, propellers, undercarriage and flaps, interior detailing, texture, bump, and displacement maps, as well as animation files for blade rotation and landing gear animation.
