pinshape
A compact model of renowned "Ayers Rock" is presented. The model was based on Google Maps data that were imported into Sketchup. In Sketchup, several planes were added to section the model every 2.5 meters, resulting in a topographical model displaying height variations. Using the sandbox tool, this model was converted into a solid entity. A base was subsequently added for improved reference points. During printing, the objects' bottom surfaces were trimmed to the desired level. The object was printed with 20% infill and standard UM values. To achieve accurate depth, Z-axis values were doubled.
