Axminster Band Saw Guard Plate (now with Holes)

This guard plate is designed specifically for axminster band saws. Like a previous model found on thingiverse.com (780900), it now includes holes for improved performance. However, these holes might have been included initially to improve air flow. In some cases, material may be removed from inner molded parts to prevent weakening them when machining or manufacturing additive parts, especially if there are cavities present that have shrunk away from the center towards the edges during the cooling process. One side features a 45-degree chamfer allowing the bedplate to tilt and cut at various angles efficiently. Due to its design complexity, it is recommended that this guard plate be CNC cut for optimal results rather than 3D printing. If it must be printed, consider applying an acetone paint finish before using it.
