Axle Mount for Spool Holder

<p>Hi there!</p> <p>This is my fist "official" little project, so please be patient if<br/> something goes wrong. I did some other things before and will add<br/> them here too, but I still consider myself as a noob. :)</p> <p>I recently got a free cabinet which perfectly fits my 3D Printer.<br/> It also had a compartment for mounting filament rolls. All I needed<br/> were proper mounts for the axles.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>1 10mm (or smaller) axle and two matching nuts per roll to mount.<br/> The length should be at least 10-12mm shorter than the space you<br/> want to mount it between, as the axle mount base plate is 5mm<br/> thick and you need one on each side.</p> <p>4 4mm screws for wood mounting to fixate the axle holder.</p> <p>1 Spool holder</p> <p>The spool holder itself is a remix of a great and simple design I found<br/> on thingiverse. There are probably tons of great spool adapters around,<br/> so just pick one that fits on your axle.</p> <p>I used this one before with the original holder that came with the printer<br/> and I liked it a lot, so I kept it with some modifications.</p> <p>It was required increase the axle diameter as I had tons of spare 10mm<br/> axles, added some additional material to increase stability with the new<br/> diameter and removed the threading as it would cause problems using it<br/> the way I do now.</p> <p>Update: It is 2020 now and I replaced the part by a new design, which basically looks the same.
