Axle Caps

Axle Caps

pinshape

My son's bike had long axles extending out from the sides of the back wheel - perfect for attaching training wheels - but if you don't need them, they like to draw blood. So I designed these simple axle caps to provide some much-needed protection. Instructions: I printed these at 15% fill in ABS, laying flat on a surface. Depending on how rough your kids are on their bikes, you may want to print with a higher density. Print out the caps, press them firmly onto the axles, line up the "nut trap" with the axle nuts, and give it a gentle tap with a rubber mallet.
