Axis Tensioner - Y axis
thingiverse
Improve Y-axis belt tension with this printable upgrade. This design features a screw for adjusting Y-axis belt/pulley tension by turning it. Find the X-axis belt tensioner here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1673. Versions V1 to V6 were iterations addressing issues like alignment and printability. The current Version 7 offers improvements on a design featuring two captive nuts on each side of the Y-axis pulley. The concept was tested on Unrepentantgeek's Sketchup version of the Cupcake CNC, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1449. The STL file contains two pieces for assembly - smaller one around the hex nut under Y-axis pulley and larger one around Y-axis edge. Drop M3 nuts into respective slots in the smaller piece, insert M3x16 bolts, and tighten them for enhanced Y-axis belt tensioning.
