Axis & Allies Pacific / Europe 1940 SE unit trays

thingiverse

These trays were designed specifically for the Pacific and Europe 1940 second edition of Axis and Allies, ensuring they fit perfectly inside the boxes that came with the game. As you play the game, these trays serve as a convenient tray to keep everything organized, while also storing away neatly inside the original boxes, keeping all units separated during storage. The trays are designed to be printed using a 0.4mm nozzle in PLA, with walls constructed from two layers thick (0.8mm) for added durability. Since other versions of the game utilize different-sized boxes, these trays are tailored to fit only within the 84mm x 290mm (3.25" x 11.4") dimensions provided in this specific version. Each world power will require a tray 1 and a tray 2, with several options available based on the number of units and tokens each power possesses. Any tray 1 can be paired with any tray 2 to fit within the box, with the primary difference being the depth of each slot. Shallow slots make it easier to grab a unit, while deeper slots accommodate more units. For optimal use, we recommend printing one standard version Tray 1 and 2 first, allowing you to gauge which size will be needed for each power based on their unique number of units in various sizes and shapes. Don't assume it will fit without checking - below is a guide outlining the differences between the various versions. Tray 1 & 2 Standard features shallow slots for easy grabbing, making them ideal for minor powers like France or ANZAC, or major powers if you don't combine Europe and Pacific theaters. Tray 1 Extended offers the same shallow slots as Tray 1 standard but with extra space for markers (1B). Tray 1 Max boasts all slots at maximum depth except for 1E (35% depth), 1F (60% depth), and 1G (75% depth). Tray 2 Max features a re-arranged configuration of slots to make more room for tanks, with the US (green) units in the picture displayed within this tray. All slots are at maximum depth except for 2A, which is 60% depth.
