Axial SCX24 Method Style Beadlock Wheels
thingiverse
I created a revised version of kman250's outstanding Method V2 wheel design for the Axial SCX24 to transform them into beadlock wheels. I added a new V2 Wheel with a reinforced hex area. At the time of posting these files, I'm unable to test tire fitment because I don't have any spare tires and anyone familiar with the SCX24 knows they're extremely hard to find. I know the wheel itself is perfect, but I'm unsure about the beadlock ring due to the lack of tires for testing. Since I couldn't test it, I don't know if I left enough space between the bead and the rim. To resolve this issue, I recommend printing one ring at a time and adjusting the width in your slicer if the ring is too tight. In terms of printing settings, I used supports only on the wheel itself, without any brim or raft. For the test print shown in the pictures, I used a 0.2mm layer height, but for a final print, I would suggest using an even finer setting to achieve better results. The beadlock ring, however, requires a brim or raft and supports due to its limited surface area on the bed. The wheels mount with four M2 x 6mm screws per wheel. Update: I also added a set of 1mm narrower wheels, which may not seem like much, but they appear to sit better on the tires. Next Update: I've now included a vented version of the wheels, featuring a 2.5mm hole in each wheel and ring, as well as a recessed channel for easy installation. This design ensures that the ring can be mounted from either side without any issues.
