I am making 8x8 RC with SCX10 axles so I needed two "pass-thru" axles. When using two same axle housing halves, you loose two pillars for mounting servo plate. I made a 4-link truss that integrates servo mounting pillars too. I recommend not to screw into pillars but put a nut (locknut) on the other side of the pillars.
