Axial piston engines, which feature cylinders parallel to the crankshaft, have long captivated my interest. Nevertheless, I've consistently found existing designs lacking, as they often reintroduce complexity compared to conventional crankshaft counterparts. Currently, this design is far from practical; however, potential improvements include directing air into a plenum chamber instead of the crankcase, implementing fuel injection and inlet valves.
