The efficiency gain from this setup is 899 times. This achievement was made possible by a patented gear system (FR2657131), consisting of two gears working together: one driven by an off-center component inside a fixed gear and the other being the output. One notable benefit of this design is that it provides significant reduction in a limited space. However, there's also a drawback - if not properly balanced, the internal gear's eccentricity can cause unpleasant vibrations during operation. Unfortunately, the enclosed mechanism doesn't allow for easy balancing. Commercial components used in this project are widely available at Conrad and can be found under the following references: * Engine: ref. 244475 * Fixing screws: ref. 839537 * Ball bearing: ref. 186214 (which I failed to mention earlier) If you're interested in learning more about this innovation, please don't hesitate to get in touch via mail at jp.nade@fre.fr.
