Axial 3 gear transmission to modify
thingiverse
I updated this with standard mounting holes. The body is 2mm thick; it's way too complicated to print, and I have no idea how strong it really is. Also made it look more like the original. axial 3-gear Ax10 transmission in 3D, no mounting points - you'll need to learn Fusion 360 and add your own, but it works, probably. Solid Fusion 360 file link: https://a360.co/2JhriQU This uses standard guts from any standard axial 3-gear transmission (Ax10 derivatives, Wraith or non-kit SCX10). Video here: https://youtu.be/UCsaEiKbQSU My printer over-extrudes something so I might have made the bearing holes too big for some people. Simplify 3D can make stuff fatter to fill it in. I don't know if other software does this. I use a rotary tool and drill bits for some of the holes, probably. It's been a while since I printed this, so I don't remember. Just thought someone might like it, but it needs mounting brackets - I was going to use it to make a built-in transmission for my Hotrod, but you could make a forward transmission that links to a transfer case or something. Maybe build the transmission into a skid; the sky's the limit! The final output gear might be a hair too close to the idler gear, or maybe my plastic gears are just bad - I get a tiny bit of tight feeling on each rotation of the output gear.
