A replacement axle for the Ideas Factory Gears and Pulleys kit. The original axles will show plastic fatigue and break down over many years, requiring a replacement solution - one that I couldn't find readily available. Fortunately, these axles can be easily replaced with this custom-made file. After printing the file, I needed to take it further by filing them smooth for optimal performance. Additionally, smoothing the lip where the head joins the shaft made removing the gears much easier. This custom axle replacement was designed using Tinkercad software.
