Axe, Headpiece
thingiverse
I wanted to dress up as a lumberjack for Halloween, but couldn't find a good axe model online. So I designed one that fits a MakerBot Replicator 2X printer and added features to test other shafts like Jula's Smedbergs Hicko shaft from Sweden. **Print Settings** **Rafts:** Not necessary **Supports:** Disabled **Resolution:** 0.3 mm for best results **Infill:** 10% to balance print speed and durability **Notes:** Printed with ABS filament and recommends applying primer in thin layers for better adhesion. **Post-Printing Instructions:** 1. Apply gentle rough grinding and glue the axe head onto a Smedbergs Hicko shaft from Sweden. 2. Refine the edges using glue and honing to achieve a smooth surface, removing any imperfections that might be revealed by primer or coatings. 3. Add one layer of primer for better durability before finishing with a metallic coating. 4. The final product should have the axe head securely attached to the shaft.
