I recently needed a replacement awning hook, so I swiftly took matters into my own hands by designing a new one using 3D printing technology. Initially, I had tried to replicate the original ABS material used in the first version, but unfortunately, it required an extended wait time for delivery. To expedite the process, I opted to print the replacement part in PLA instead. Despite its relatively shorter lifespan of about two years, it successfully served its purpose until it eventually wore out. Next, I plan to experiment with printing a new one using TPU, hoping that its enhanced durability will allow me to enjoy an extended period without needing another replacement.
