Awesome Blowgun Kit (Fast and accurate!)
thingiverse
Print out this kit and attach the parts, consisting of half-inch aluminum tubing, to create an awesome blowgun! The entire package has been printed from Ninjaflex, and it works extremely well in that format. However, you can also print the mouth piece and the tip from PLA or ABS. To produce pellet holders and pellets that fit well together and maintain stability, it is best to use materials similar to Ninjaflex. The fast-paced and precise nature of the darts makes them an excellent choice for blowing, with the added benefit of being just as effective whether or not they have sharp tips installed. Instructions: Printing out the mouth piece requires no special skills; simply choose your desired material. In my case, I decided to use black Ninjaflex. On the other hand, making darts involves choosing materials that will provide a snug fit yet prevent them from falling off easily. This is particularly true for flexible pellets with tail grips. Setup: My printer of choice is the Flashforge Creator X. Recommended Filaments: Lava colored Ninjaflex filaments. Tips for my setup include setting extruder temperatures to around 232 deg C, using a higher extrusion rate (approximately 1.35), maintaining bed temperatures at around 40 degrees Celsius, and opting for low-infill settings with a wall count of three while keeping the print speed constant at 30 mm/s. Make sure that you also activate your build plate fan to prevent air flow disruption. One final adjustment I make is reducing my pellets by just under one percent in size (scaling down from normal sizes) which significantly affects how well they grip within the tube. It also adds a touch of finesse during handling since the slight difference becomes instantly apparent when adjusting darts for precise fitment into place. The results after adding finishing nails with a nail gun turned out incredibly great too – super gluing those small sticks all around makes for such perfect darts, not even requiring additional tips at any time! Plus you know, no one needs glue, which really gets me because that stuff does everything but it makes prints only when two darts are done, after roughly 20 mins have elapsed. To make things neat and stylish to put them away or to carry anywhere else when all these fun games and things need packing up so neatly – I recommend wrapping the aluminum part (or whatever material) using tape - just about any type like black duct tape works well here since this would help create better airflow when you need extra oomph in the shot!
