I found the rotary focuser that came with my AWB Onesky quite challenging to use with a camera, so I acquired an Orion 13031 and created custom pieces to fit it perfectly.\r\n\r\nTo complete this project, you'll need several M3, M4, M5, and M6 rivet nut inserts; I used these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LWKGGGM.\r\n\r\nTwo M3x10 screws are required to mount a shroud, which I plan to attach using Kydex by drilling holes directly into it.\r\nFour M4x20 screws will be necessary to secure the focuser in place.\r\nTwo M6x10 screws will be needed to connect the focuser assembly to the endcap assembly.\r\n\r\nHowever, one significant drawback of this new focuser is that it adds 1 1/4" to the overall height compared to the original focuser. This means you'll need to adjust the end assembly accordingly to maintain focus capabilities. I may opt to design a custom focuser in the future, but for now, I'm undecided on that matter.\r\nAdjusting the end assembly might not be necessary if you're using multiple extensions with your camera, depending on your specific setup.
