Human: Awalé is a playable game in 3D print. The realization of this work in wood, stone or clay will be done with sculpting or modeling tools. Rules of the Awalé Game The awalé, also called Awélé, Wari or awele, is part of (like Mancala) the oldest strategy games. Its origin would be ancient Egypt. These games are very popular in Africa today and symbolize the importance of agriculture. - Objective of the game: To capture as many seeds as possible. The player with the most seeds at the end of the game wins. - Number of players: 2 - Preparation: The board is placed horizontally between the two players. Each player places 4 seeds in each of the 6 holes in front of them. Gameplay for a Part of Awalé • Board: The game is played on a 2x6 hole board. • Storehouses: If your awalé has two storehouses (larger holes at each end), they do not count as holes, they only serve to store players' seeds. A player's storehouse is located to his right. • Playing a Turn: The first player takes all the seeds from one of the 6 holes on their side and deposits one seed in each hole following the one they emptied. • Direction of play: clockwise. • Capture: If the last seed is deposited in an opponent's hole containing already 1 or 2 seeds, the player captures the 2 or 3 resulting seeds. The captured seeds are then removed from the game (storehouse) and the hole is left empty. --> Raffle: When a player captures 2 or 3 seeds, if the previous hole also contains 2 or 3 seeds, they are also captured, and so on. • Loop: If the number of seeds taken from a starting hole is greater than 11, it makes you loop around a turn. In this case, each time through, the starting hole is skipped and therefore left empty. • Starving: A player cannot play a move that takes all their opponent's camp seeds. • End of game: The game ends when one player has no seeds in their camp (and can no longer play). Their opponent then captures the remaining seeds.
