Design a rifle inspired by the Avtomat Vintovka Sudaeva (AVS) automatic rifle, a Soviet-era classic known for its reliability and versatility. To create this modern interpretation, we'll combine cutting-edge technology with the rugged charm of the AVS. The result will be a rifle that honors its predecessor while pushing the boundaries of innovation. Starting from scratch, our design will begin with the stock. Made from durable polymer, it will feature a textured grip and an adjustable cheekpiece for optimal comfort and customization. The fore-end will be equipped with a Picatinny rail system, allowing users to attach their preferred accessories such as scopes, lasers, or flashlights. Next, we'll focus on the receiver. Constructed from high-strength steel, it will house a gas-operated piston system that reduces recoil and improves accuracy. The rifle's action will be designed for quick and smooth cycling, ensuring reliable performance in various environments. Moving on to the barrel, we'll select a high-quality chrome-lined variant that provides exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion. A muzzle brake will be integrated into the design, helping to minimize recoil and reduce felt report. The trigger mechanism will feature a crisp, two-stage pull with an adjustable weight setting for customized feel.
