Here's another way to make an avocado pit germinate system that uses a small to medium-sized soda bottle for auto-watering. First, place the bottle through the hole in the holder and screw on the cap tightly. Then fill the bottle with water until it's full. Next, put the holder/bottle onto a glass that is partially filled with water - make sure the glass isn't too full or it will overflow! The system will keep the water level in the glass at the right height for your avocado pit as long as there's still some water left in the bottle. Ideally, the glass should be about 3.75 inches in diameter at the top to work perfectly with this setup.
