AVL Warping Wheel Hacks I can never leave well enough alone so here are some mods I made to my AVL warping wheel. Folding The wheel is rather awkward as built so I changed 4 of the arm attach screws to 2" and took the wing nuts from the other end. Now if you loosen them all the way the arms swing down. However, you need to loosen the fixed arm to get it out of the way. Also, the counter mount and sensor are in the way. Soooo I made the display and sensor mounts, stretching the 2 wires, and now the whole thing folds up! Wheels Added chair wheels using brackets from Amazon Warp extenders The max circumference is 3 yards but I often need 4. To get that in 1 turn I added the extenders which add almost exactly 1 yard. Comb mount and yarn clip (visible in the counter mount view) I'm still experimenting with these to improve the yarn flow. Never cared for the metal clip and the original comb mount leads to uneven end lengths. I cut off sections of the spool to make room for my hand as I wind. Voiding warranties is my mission
