The circa 90's Avid Arch Supreme linear pull brakes require removal of bearing holders, which were initially available along with specific tools. However, both replacements and tools are hard to find nowadays. A makeshift tool can disassemble brake arms and ease the process of removing and replacing bearings. To remove bearings, push the center insert to the side (which may be challenging) and tap them out using a drift punch while preventing complete passage due to the narrower center.
