Designed to be 3D printed in PET-G for its exceptional ductility and minimal shrinkage, this innovative creation was born out of the need to recycle broken Aviators, with a specific focus on preserving the thin lenses that make them unique. Engineered to accommodate lenses up to 0.8mm thick, it's an ideal solution for those who appreciate the precision fit that comes with being designed to work seamlessly with the original lenses. Although super gluing is recommended, the design's clever grooves ensure a secure grip even without adhesive. The bridge piece features strategically inset grooves to accommodate variously shaped lenses, allowing users to scale the design to perfectly match their face shape and lens size. To achieve optimal results, it's highly recommended to print the design as shown in the images, with lense grooves oriented vertically, and adjust the mirror arm accordingly in your slicer settings to ensure correct placement of the left and right arms.
