Designed for the version 2 Avanti S 80mm EDF released in June/July 2023 by Freewing A small gap between the strut and the brace is intended to reduce the risk of overload of the brace attachment to the fuselage. The retract mount should be acting as the primary support and the brace as a secondary / backup support. Place the brace against the firewall with no gap between the frame and the aft side of the brace. The Avanti S V2 employs a plastic frame for the nose gear opening. This frame seems to be significantly stiffer than the foam frame on the V1. Braces designs / installations which localize stress & strain in the frame may generate cracks. I have attempted to minimize this risk with this design. Recommend giving consideration to the Flex Brace before committing a rigid brace.
