Ava's Gear Toy 1
thingiverse
Bring this functional Gear Toy to life and share gear theory with kids, friends, or anyone eager to explore gears. Its mesmerizing spin makes it an irresistible desktop collectible. My one-year-old niece, Ava, took to this toy instantly; she even carted the large gear off to bed - a heartwarming sight that's sure to spark more 3D-printed gear sets from me in the future. Revised files are now streamlined for fast print times and can fit on a six-inch print bed. I'm Les, and I've made sure everything is thoroughly tested and optimized for you. Instructions The OpenSCAD file generates a printable "plate" by default, comprising three parts: a base and two gears. These are arranged closely and rotated to minimize the required print area. Adjust the part variable if your printer struggles with the full plate. I've included an STL file that's tailored to fit a six-inch-by-six-inch print bed - perfect for PrintrBot Simple Metal owners. Enjoy!
