AVA's Dominos
thingiverse
Ava's Uncle Les has a new concept for play toys: resettable dominos. The existing domino designs can be frustrating because they topple at the slightest touch and only work once. Ava's Uncle Les is looking to change that with his innovative designs. Version 1 features a hinged base that allows users to glue it down to a base, while Version 2 relies on its bottom-heavy and curvy design to stay upright. This way, users can set up their dominos and topple them multiple times without any issues. These designs have yet to be tested, but Version 1 appears to be close to functioning properly, whereas Version 2 tends to topple over by itself due to its inherent instability. It's worth noting that there is prior art on the subject in a patent titled "Resettable Domino Arrangement" (US20100173557), which uses a track to maintain alignment.
