I designed these reinforcements to bolster the stability of my Hy-Gain AV14AVQ antenna. The manufacturer claims it can withstand winds of up to 80 mph, but I'm skeptical about such an unrealistic expectation. These custom-built components were printed with durable poly-carbonate and simply slipped onto the mast before being inserted into the resonators. No adhesives or fasteners are required, although two additional pieces were needed for the 40m trap due to its proper assembly, whereas the 10m and 15m traps required some extra attention.
