Auxetic lattice
thingiverse
This is the design of an auxetic lattice (modeler: M Williams). Auxetic lattices have a Poisson's ratio that is less than zero. As they are pulled in one direction, they expand in another direction. This behavior is contrary to conventional materials. This model can be printed and tested using a tension testing machine. For more information, you can read our technical paper at http://engweb.swan.ac.uk/~adhikaris/fulltext/journal/ft262.pdf
