Autorobotics VAR(iable)-(e)Xtrude(r) = VAR-X-trude Bowden extruder for 1.75mm & 3mm filament - can be used with all filament diameters. The housing features a symmetrical setup for mounting the motor from both sides of the housing, with an additional bearing placed in the housing at the end of the motor axis. The guide for the filament is a separate part that pivots in the housing to adjust to different filament diameters. The housing is mounted to a plate using a T-nut. Filament gear: MK8 filament gear; bearing size: 5 x 13 x 4 (di = 5mm, da = 13mm, B=4mm) Actual building is underway... results will come soon, with a video on YouTube. Important information: I have access to print the parts at LS-Medcap, a facility that belongs to a federation of medical companies in southern Germany. As an engineer in development, I can use the printer anytime, but this will not be free. I need to calculate costs for the printer and materials. I'll make a small calculation for 1) plastic parts and 2) a complete extruder with motor and all components soon. If there's interest, please write me an email at jan.maier@autorobotics.de. I'll collect the number of interested people, then provide a price as an offer. This way, you won't take any risk, but have a chance to get high-quality extruders at low costs. If enough people are interested, we could achieve a good price for these high-quality extruders - much better than using FDM printers! Don't hesitate to email me with your interest.
