Autorobotics VAR(iable)-(e)Xtrude(r) = VAR-X-trude bowden extruder for 1.75mm & 3mm filament - suitable for all filament-diameters. The housing is a symmetric set-up designed for mounting the motor from both sides of the housing with an additional bearing placed in the housing at the end of the motor axis. The guide for the filament is a separate part which is pivoted in the housing in such a way, that it can adjust to different filament diameters. The housing is mounted to a plate with T-nut. Filament gear: MK8 filament gear ; bearing size: 5 x 13 x 4 (di = 5mm, da = 13mm, B=4mm). Construction is currently underway...... results will be available soon + video on YouTube. Important information: I have the opportunity to print the parts at LS-Medcap (owned by a federation of medical companies in southern Germany, where I am currently working as an engineer in development). We are using the printer in-house for development and I can utilize it anytime. However, this will naturally incur costs. I will soon perform calculations for 1. plastic components and 2. a complete extruder with motor & all components. Will anyone be interested in acquiring one......? Printing multiple units at once will reduce the costs. Please send me an email, and I will collect the number of "interested parties" for this purpose. Subsequent to this, I will perform calculations and present you with an offer detailing the price. This way, there is no risk for you, but a chance to achieve low costs for an extruder of extremely high quality.... significantly better than creating one with FDM printers. If enough individuals express interest, we may be able to secure a favorable price;). Please do not hesitate to contact me via email at jan.maier@autorobotics.de Instructions: constructed in Solidworks, best results obtained when printed on an Objet printer (Stratasys Objet Prime in RGD525)
