Autopilot for Flight Simulators
thingiverse
This is an Autopilot panel for Flight Simulators. It can be used with FSX, Xplane or any sim. I did not want to use rotary knobs so I replaced them with buttons to simplify the design. I based in off of the FSX 737 autopilot panel. Having a physical autopilot makes a big difference when doing simulations. I used SPST toggle switches and tactical buttons mounted under the printed buttons. To get the text on the panel I stopped the print by inserting a GCODE pause a the layer when text printing started and changed the PLA color. Here is the pause GCODE ; Begin Pause Code G28 X0 Y0 ; Home X and Y M300 ; Ring Buzzer M400 ; Wait for command buffer to clear M25 ; Pause Print ; Execute following lines after resuming G28 X0 Y0 ; Home X and Y G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder Origin ; End Pause Code The different color is nice, Hatchbox gold looks really sharp. Also I did not print the full thickness of the text in the file, I stopped the print a bit early but left the letters a little taller in the file so you can decide how deep you want the letters. Just stop the print when your happy. ENJOY! HAPPY FLIGHT SIM-ING! Keep the dirty side down!
